Getting Started with OpenShift Container Orchestration

During this workshop, we explain containers and OpenShift core concepts, show how to manage an OpenShift cluster and how to deploy an app into such cluster. OpenShift is an enhanced Kubernetes distribution focused on developer experience and application security.

OppenShift helps you develop and quickly deploy containerized apps to one or more hosts. These can be public facing web apps, or backend apps, including micro services or databases. Apps can be developed in any programming language as long as they run within a Docker or similar container.

Prerequisites for attendees:

  • some knowledge of Kubernetes,
  • to do hands-on labs, you will need a computer with a browser, internet access and SSH or Putty.
